C’mon Get Up And Do Something!
Lt. Governor John Carney challenges all Delawareans to take control of their health. Do something just for you. Start some moderate exercise. Eat more nutritiously. Ask a friend to join you and you’ll be giving both yourself and your friend a valuable gift a longer, healthier life.By just engaging in some type of moderate physical activity like walking, jogging, or running three times a week you can not only reduce your chances of developing one of these chronic diseases but you will also feel healthier.
Increasing your daily physical activity can decrease your incidence for diabetes, congestive heart failure, certain cancers, and other chronic diseases. According to recent findings more than 60 percent of Delawareans lead sedentary lifestyles.

Our site provides a wealth of information for Delawareans starting fitness progrms. Our races provide mid-pack awards, walker prizes, and gifts for every 20th runner.
We encourage beginners and provide great venues to meet other beginning runners and to have a good time while becoming fit.We will emphasize the utilization of the picturesque Greenways Of Delaware for many of our races.
